NLM Postdoctoral Traineeship in Bioinformatics

Work with a team of Developmental Biologists and Computer Scientists developing a Comparative and Functional Genomics Relational Database. Project will focus on integrating phenotypic (eg. Gene-expression) and Physical & Genetic mapping data from diverse species for application to analysis of gene-function using medically and agriculturally relevant model organisms.

Requirements:

The candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in either Computer or Life Sciences prior to appointment. Experience with relational databases and programming in Java and Perl required. Oracle a plus. United States citizenship or permanent visa absolutely required.

One year fellowship available immediately with possibility of renewal.Salary commensurate with experience.
